Who even am I?
My name is Hannah, and if there’s one thing I never expected to do with my life, it was run a membership community.
My journey began much like many others — by sharing something I loved.
I started posting about vintage fashion, retro interiors, old-fashioned homemaking and the timeless charm of bygone eras on TikTok, Instagram and, eventually, YouTube. What began simply as a way of sharing my own interests unexpectedly grew into a wonderful community of people who, like me, found comfort, inspiration and perhaps a little escapism in the beauty of the past.
And then something rather extraordinary happened.
People began telling me that I inspired them in their own lives!
Which really struck me, as someone who didn't come from a lot and was living in a simple 2 bed semi in the middle of an inner city.
Eventually, I realised there was something much more meaningful happening.
I wasn’t simply showing people how much I love a cast-iron fireplace or a 1940s dress. I was showing that you can create something beautiful, comforting and meaningful without having to have a beautiful house, a huge budget or a picture-perfect life to begin with.
Because an enriching, beautiful life isn’t something reserved for those with money, privilege or perfect circumstances.
And that is what I hope to share here.
The Dolls House Club gives me the opportunity to go beyond what I can share on YouTube — to create exclusive content, delve a little deeper into the things I love, share practical ideas and forgotten knowledge, and create a space where we can learn, make and appreciate the past together.
But more than anything, I want this to be a place that reminds you that you don't need to completely change your life to make it feel more meaningful.
